Path of the Memory
A glance to the memory of the places vanished due to the exploitation of the mine, within a beautiful route around the Lake of As Pontes.
The path of the memory is a route of 8,3 Km around the Lake of As Pontes. It can be done walking or by bike; no vehicles are allowed. It takes around 2 hours to walk all the path.
The starting points are shown on the Lake. Along the path there are informative signs about the history of people and places no longer existing due to the coal mine. On the side of Espiñaredo (west part of the Lake) there is a bird observatory and beautiful views of the Lake of As Pontes.
Informative signs offer information about places and people living in the area before the mine exploitation, and there is also information about the ecosystem of the lake.
