Mural "Sanxoaneiras" (related to Saint John’s night)

The mural by Suk Ha shows the importance of plants used on midsummer night.
The festivity of the midsummer night is very popular in As Pontes. In this mural Teresa Martín-Patino, aka Suk Ha, represents the aromatic herbs and plants for St John’s night.

These herbs are a set of plants collected the night before St John’s day and are left in water outside to be wet by the dew. On the following day the water is used to wash the face, and the bouquet of plants/flowers is said to have protective properties.

This mural by Suk Ha is located on the deposit of the reservoir A Ribeira.
