Xurxo Guitián makes this mosaic to homage the relationship between Galicia and Brittany. As Pontes and Lesneven are sister villages since 1991.
This photographic collage has 7,000 tesserae formed by people, landscapes, monuments, crafts and symbols. Hundreds of neighbours from Lesneven and As Pontes gave photos to create it.
The mosaic represents two pregnant women symbolising an affective and cultural connection highlighted by a common symbol to the two peoples: the triskelion. There is a twin mosaic in the village of Lesneven, in Brittany.
The mosaic can be seen in the Rúa Real, in the number 8.
