Monument to the Tojeiro Brothers
A sculpture reminding the origin of the great entrepreneurs of As Pontes, the Tojeiro Brothers.
The Tojeiro family (popularly called Toxeiro) is well-known in As Pontes. José Tojeiro started in 1900 to buy food in the villages around As Pontes to sell them in Ferrol. His three sons (Manolo, Pepe and Roberto) went on with the familiar tradition.
The Tojeiro brothers were great entrepeneurs. In 1944 Roberto, with the help of his brothers, buys his first lorry. That was his first big step towards transport and food business.
The monument represents the image of the three brothers.
It is located in the square leading to the Gadis, in the Rúa Irmáns Tojeiro.
