Monument Allegory of Life and Death

Monument Allegory of Life and Death

Impressive work by Ramón Conde showing Death feeding a newborn baby.
It is a work by the well-known sculptor Ramón Conde, from Ourense. This artist lives in A Coruña and travelled over Europe and the United States of America. His work started with realism evolving until being a very personal style; among his works there are obese figures and huge heads.

This work represents life and death in a natural way. Death is feeding a newborn baby on its arms. The work was some time on the entrance of the public cemetery of Os Alimpadoiros until it was moved inside it.
