Monument to Music
The sculpture remembers the centenary of pioneers in the history of music, the band of Ribadeume.
This monument to the Band of Ribadeume was settled in 2009, celebrating one hundred years of the creation of the band.
The band was created in 1909 by Don Juan Vázquez, parish priest of Ribadeume and Bermui between 1906 and 1956.
The monument is in front of the church of St Mary of Ribadeume. In a metallic cylinder are the silhouettes of the musical instruments played in the band. There is a plaque with the names of conductors and members of the bands.
It can be seen in Ribadeume, next to the parish church.
