The mural is a great composition showing a legend of Monte Caxado, a hen with golden chicks.
This mural was made by the artist from Almería Miguel Peralta. It shows an old legend from the Monte Caxado, about a king “mouro” who curses his daughter to be imprisoned inside a rock. The “mouros” are a mythic race who, according to the tradition, lived before humans.
According to the legend the bewitched princess could only go out of the rock on midsummer night and only on the shape of a hen with her golden chicks. In the European folklore the group of starts called Pleiades were said to be a hen with her chicks.
The mural is in the Avenida de Galicia, in the number 3, beside the bridge of Isabel II.
